About Sadahama Point

Sadahama point is located between the east and west sides of Sadahama Beach.  The area is nicknamed "Akabaka" Beach, a name attributed to it from a (formerly) red-colored tomb overlooking the ocean.  There are several tombs in the area, some of which have connections with the younger brother of the first king of the Ryukyu Kingdom.

佐田浜ポイントは北に面し、東と西の両側には「赤墓ビーチ」の愛称でも親しまれる佐田浜ビーチが広がっています。この地域には古くから大切に祭られてきたお墓が多く、その中のひとつ、琉球王国の初代国王の弟のお墓が漆喰で赤く装飾されていたことが、赤墓と呼ばれる所以です。

Sadahama Point was recently featured in a national drama series and was also the site of a well-known K-pop music video.  As a result, Sadahama Point has become more popular, and is visited by an increasing number of visitors.

佐田浜ポイントは、国民的ドラマシリーズや人気K-popグループのミュージックビデオの撮影をきっかけに広く知られるようになり、多くの人が訪れるようになりました。

There are no lifeguards at Sadahama Beach.  Please be safe.  Swim at your own risk.  Sadahama point is private property.  We cannot take responsibility for injuries or other trouble that occurs on this or adjacent properties.
